I luuuuve Soweto!
An interesting ride into the heart of Soweto on a recent trip to Johannesburg yielded this jewel of a shop… Two very cool young gentlemen by the name of Wandile and Khotso run this plek (this plek called Thesis) which by day sells you some truly local and original fashion gear and by night offers you a truly local and lekker jol of hip hop inspied beats and kwaito and laid-back soul beats! Can’t go wrong. And if you get the midnight munchies then you’re conveniently situated next to some local munchies too… What I particularly loved about this little haunt in the wall was it’s use of these Shwe Shwe prints in accessories… Needless to say that I purchased myself a lovely little shoulder slingbag to team with my African Market banlges for summer (as above) and the man in my life a t-shirt with a fun print… The print on his tee was, I believe, designed by one of the graphic designers associated with Gold Fish which just goes to show that musos get around
