Ryan Gosling – A Style Icon for the Men…

So of late everything on this blog has been a bit focused on the ladies and so I thought it high time I did a post to inspire the men… Enter Ryan Gosling. I first clocked some of the images from this gorgeous GQ spread on Dylan Jack’s blog and it got me thinking and hunting and so I went about getting all the images from the shoot and did a little investigation into his red carpet attire.

I liked what I saw. It’s difficult to find out what the ladies are wearing on the red carpet at times; it’s even more so to find out what the men have been wearing. I do know this much: the man loves a good Salvatore Ferragamo suit. He wore two of them to this year’s Cannes Film Festival – the blue one and the maroon one. Perfectly played – he’s looks debonair and cool and it’s not hurt by those come-to-bed-ice-blue-peepers stare and the mischievious smirk. I heart that he’s never afraid of a well-cut suit or that he’ll mix it up with those same trousers and a leather jacket and even the occasional silk scarf casually draped round the shoulders – boys take note! And he wears a tailored white shirt so well! And how about that navy jersey with a deep v and white slacks and two-tone wingtips? Impeccable. There’s is nothing even remotely effeminate about this man he wears fashion with a suitably confident and relaxed attitude and it doesn’t help that he looks like he’s in the best physical shape of his young life. Definitely a style icon in the making.
