Brr, despite the sunny skies there’s a definite winter chill in the air here in ol’ Cape of Towns… Brr. So perfect excuse to check out the jacket and trouser offerings of Mango, in the third of my reviews of their Spring/Summer Catalogue 2011/2012. Hmm, next month does seem like a very long, long way away. As you can see it’s all about the double-breasted jacket, which of course makes me tread with extreme caution. Ladies if you have a bit of a tum, big boobs and broad shoulders then you are going to steer well clear of this trend. Love the cream nautical-poncho number with contrast trims and that lemon blazer vibe should be snapped up immediately by anyone who is blessed to have a coffee or cappuccino complexion. And I love the appropriately named Bardot Camel Jacket – I can almost picture the blonde beehive and liquid liner eyes and ballet pumps now…
In terms of trousers the carrot leg is huge: pleats, pleats and more pleats please! The charcoal, lemon and the pale pink rose ones are my favourite and if “Operation Summer Beach Bum” has been successful then maybe the ivory satin high-waisted numbers too for a bit of evening polish.
